Job summary

Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a Dietitian to join its Inpatient Mental Health Dietetic Team on a part-time basis. This development post offers progression from Band 5 to Band 6 with support from a Highly Specialist Dietitian and the MDT.

You will provide specialist nutrition care to patients with mental health needs, work within professional guidelines, and contribute to service development. The role supports collaboration with catering and the broader Trust.

Qualifications

• Post-registration experience in dietetics within mental health.
• Ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and follow professional guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist Dietetic interventions to service users with severe or complex mental health needs.
• Deliver evidence-based nutrition assessment and intervention to support recovery.
• Advise and train mental health and learning disability services within the Trust.
• Work as an autonomous practitioner with supervision from the lead Dietitian.
• Collaborate with catering services to meet hospital food standards.
• Supervise Dietetic students and contribute to service development reviews.
• Manage a designated workload with clinical support as needed.
