Job summary

Baringa in London is seeking experienced Managers to join our Risk & Compliance practice. You will lead complex regulatory change programmes, shape risk strategies, and mentor teams across international projects.

Ideal candidates bring experience in risk management, COSO/ISO 31000, and data analytics with tools like Excel, Power BI, and Tableau. Consulting or Big 4 backgrounds are a plus; we value collaboration, communication, and delivering client value.

Qualifications

  • Experience in risk management, audit, compliance or related functions within financial services or fintech.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills; ability to present risk insights from structured and unstructured data.
  • Track record of building trusting relationships in an international environment.
  • Practical experience with enterprise risk management frameworks such as COSO, COBIT, ISO 31000.
  • Experience with risk assessment, control testing, KRIs, risk governance and reporting.
  • Proficiency with data analytics and visualization tools (MS Excel, Power BI, Tableau).
  • Experience modernising risk management processes through automation, AI-driven insights and digital tools (GRC tools).
  • Excellent project management and prioritisation skills.
  • Professional certifications in risk and controls management are a plus.
  • Consulting experience or experience in Big 4 is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Shape and structure workstreams in complex regulatory change programmes, mobilising international teams and delivering tangible client outcomes.
  • Lead teams to perform gap analysis of current state against regulatory requirements and provide improvement recommendations.
  • Lead program updates and draft high-quality client deliverables.
  • Shape enterprise risk management frameworks, including drafting risk strategy, risk appetite statements and KRIs, governance and reporting.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across the three lines of defense to align risk strategy with business goals.
  • Analyze processes in risk and compliance to identify opportunities for optimization and automation.
  • Stay informed on emerging risks and trends to shape innovative solutions.
  • Apply traditional and emerging technologies to modernise risk management processes and risk culture.
  • Mentor junior team members; facilitate trainings and provide on-the-job coaching.

Our Risk & Compliance practice are looking for an experienced Managers to join the team.

Our Risk & Compliance practice drives the strategic evolution of risk management for our financial services clients. We work collaboratively with our clients to deliver practical, tailored solutions to evolve compliance and risk management into future-focused, growth-driving capability. Our team in London is growing, and we are looking for motivated and curious risk and controls professionals to join our global Risk Advisory team. We have a range of open roles based on your experience.

What you will be doing

  • Shape and structure workstreams in complex regulatory change programmes – mobilizing international teams, creating and tracking project plans and leading the delivery of workstreams to deliver tangible outcomes for clients

Your Skills And Experience

  • Relevant experience in risk management, audit, compliance, or related functions within financial services or fintech companies
  • Strong communication and analytical skills, with the ability to present risk insights clearly based on structured and unstructured data

  • Practical experience with enterprise risk management frameworks such as COSO, COBIT, ISO 31000
