Job summary

The University of Warwick, within the School of Engineering, seeks a Research Fellow in Power Electronics to assist the PI and collaborators in delivering a cutting-edge research programme on power semiconductor devices and systems. You will design, develop and assemble test systems, perform experimental work, analyze data and publish results to advance the field.

You will communicate complex technical information clearly; contribute to grant proposals and engage with external funding bodies.

Qualifications

  • PhD in Power Electronics or equivalent.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience in power electronics and power semiconductor device characterisation.
  • Strong track record of publications and research outputs in experimental Power Electronics.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and assemble power electronics test systems for power semiconductor devices.
  • Undertake experimental research, analyse technical data, and apply emerging developments to inform future research.
  • Disseminate findings through publications in leading international journals and other outlets; contribute to proposals and external funding applications.
  • Communicate complex, specialist material in written and oral form.
  • Travel occasionally for collaboration and conferences; present work at international conferences.
