Job summary

Mechanical Engineering in North Devon is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer with strong Autodesk Inventor skills and experience in valve, pump, pipe and vessel manufacturing for oil, gas, petrochemical and power processing sectors.

The role requires advanced Excel abilities and a track record of turning customer requirements into practical engineering solutions, reporting to the Innovation Manager and collaborating with manufacturing teams.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or HND in mechanical engineering or a design discipline.
• Proven experience in valve, pump, pipe and vessel manufacturing.
• Experience with 3D CAD in mechanical design and product development.

Responsibilities

• Develops new and improved mechanical products and processes.
• Works with customers to meet their technical requirements and solve problems.
• Creates and presents innovative product proposals based on technology trends and market needs.
• Prepares detailed analytical reports and communicates results effectively.
