Overview

Title: Inline PMO - Finance and Data (Japanese Language skills beneficial)
Salary: Maximum £46,000 per annum + travel expense up to Zone 6
Location: London
Job status: 6 months fixed term contract (rolling)
Working hours: 9:00am - 17:00pm / Monday to Friday. Office based 5 days a week
Start date: ASAP

Responsibilities
  • Oversight & Monitoring. Challenge and validate data in plan view including status, progress, milestones, RAIDs and Financials, driving action with PM's to correct and manage information.
  • Finance and Data Risk & Issue Management: Support portfolio lead to resolve issues and control the Portfolio.
  • Undertake Project Reviews / Health Checks. Facilitate weekly Working Group (Portfolio lead and all PM'S) review and sharing of status / progress on all projects including prep. Support monthly Programme Meetings capturing actions.
  • Secretariat to monthly Portfolio Committees including pack production, meeting schedule, minutes and actions, attendees / distribution lists, maintenance of ToR. General meeting organisation / admin / Meeting trackers.
  • Ensure change control and governance is used in line with PDLC and Business rules.
  • Police the portfolio ensuring company policy is applied e.g. financial approvals, change control etc.
  • Ensure Document Management & Storage is undertaken correctly.
  • Drive compliance with PDLC advising PM's as required.
  • AE Attestation Tracking / control, System Access and Set up, Coaching, Tools, Templates etc.
  • Induction, training and Guidance to PM's on plan view and project process etc.
  • Support and guide the planning, controlling, monitoring and organising of the portfolio, ensuring compliance with governance and reporting and that the book of work is within delivery capability and resource capacity.
  • Ensure change control and governance is used in line with PDLC and Business rules.
  • Police the portfolio ensuring company policy is applied e.g. financial approvals, change control etc.
Knowledge, Skills, Experience and Key Competencies

Functional / Technical Competencies:

  • Demonstrable practical experience with demand and financial planning required, previous experience with PMO/PLC processes and controls beneficial.
  • Basic knowledge of IT beneficial.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office Skills, in particular MS Excel, IT literate.
  • Highly numerate, analytical and logical, with attention to detail and the ability to systematically break apart complex problems.

Work Experience:

  • Experience in a similar role, ideally within an IT or Financial Services Environment.

Education / Qualifications:

  • Preferably degree educated or similar qualification or practical experience.
  • Japanese Language skills beneficial.

Personal Requirements:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Results driven, with a strong sense of accountability.
