Overview

Injection Moulding Technician, Somercotes, Derbyshire. George Utz Ltd. is a premier provider of custom-made reusable plastic packaging solutions with a legacy spanning over 70 years. We specialise in crafting sustainable products through injection mould technology, automation and robotics. This is a permanent, full-time role on a rotating shift pattern.

Shifts run from 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm, and 10pm to 6am, Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend and overtime work required.

Responsibilities

• Support the injection mould manufacturing of bespoke returnable packaging.
• Undertake tool setting duties, including stripping down tools and setting up runs after a tool change.
• Conduct quality checks and maintain machine parameters.
• Assist operators with day-to-day activities.

Qualifications

• Strong tool setting experience on larger machines (ideally Engel and Krauss Maffei up to 2,700 tonnes).
• Good communication skills.
• Qualified to IMT Level 3 or equivalent.
• Please note this role involves heavy manual work.
