Job description

Recsure Personnel is recruiting on behalf of a leading manufacturer for an experienced Injection Moulding Machine Setter. This hands‑on role is key to ensuring that machines and production processes are optimised for quality, efficiency, and safety.

Location: Telford
Salary: £15.93
Job type: Full-time, Permanent

You will be responsible for setting up and maintaining injection moulding machinery to achieve high-quality output, low scrap rates, and maximum productivity. The role also includes occasional shift leader cover during holidays and supporting machine operators in delivering production targets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set injection moulding machines to optimum conditions to produce quality components
  • Optimise machine/robot cycle times for efficiency
  • Carry out colour, insert, printer, and mould changes as per production plan
  • Perform regular quality and material tests (MFI)
  • Implement corrective actions for reported quality issues
  • Provide break cover for machine operators and ensure smooth workflow
  • Minimise scrap rates and changeover wastage
  • Complete accurate documentation and production records
  • Maintain high housekeeping standards on the shop floor
  • Correctly load/unload recycling and new materials into silos
  • Follow all Health & Safety rules and guidelines
Person Specification – Essential
  • Proven Plastic Injection Moulding experience
  • Tool changing and process setting experience
  • Overhead crane operation skills
  • Problem‑solving mindset with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Conscientious and reliable work ethic
Desirable Experience
  • Working with Engel or Krauss machinery
  • Kuka automation systems
Hours

12‑hour shifts on a Panama shift rota (rotating days and nights every two weeks)
