Job summary

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions are currently recruiting an Injection Moulding Toolmaker to join a busy toolroom in Blackburn. You will work across manual machining, grinding, and fault diagnostics to support production and maintain tooling performance.

The role requires hands-on problem solving, independence, and a strong attention to detail, with a structured training period on the day shift and a permanent, full-time contract.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Injection Moulding Toolmaker or Toolmaker within a manufacturing environment.
• Versatile across manual machining and grinding disciplines.
• Experience using manual lathes, milling machines, surface grinders and universal grinders.
• Experience working with hot runner systems and fault diagnostics.
• Self-motivated, reliable and capable of working independently.
• Proactive and able to manage workload effectively, including during quieter periods.
• Hands-on approach to problem solving.
• Recognised apprenticeship and relevant trade qualifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out a wide range of toolroom and toolmaking activities.
• Work with and maintain hot runner systems.
• Diagnose and resolve tooling faults on the production shop floor.
• Operate manual centre lathes and milling machines.
• Carry out surface grinding and universal grinding.
• Maintain and repair tooling to a high standard.
• Identify and resolve mechanical and tooling issues efficiently.
• Support production requirements and minimise downtime.
• Manage your own workload effectively and work with minimal supervision.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety, quality and workmanship.
