Job description

Join a modern, well-equipped toolroom featuring a full range of conventional and CNC machinery, and become part of a growing, specialist plastic injection toolmaking business.

Due to continued growth and a strong order book, the company is seeking an experienced Toolmaker to manufacture, maintain, and repair both prototype and fully hardened production tools.

Up to £40,000, 23+8 days holiday, 08.00 - 17.00 Monday to Thursday, 08.00 - 16.00 Fridays.

Responsibilities

• Manufacturing, modification, and repair of injection mould tools to a high standard
• Operating CNC and conventional toolroom machinery, including lathes, mills, grinders, and EDM/wire eroders
• Using hand tools such as files, hacksaws and grinders
• Fault‑finding and wiring of hot runner systems

Qualifications

• Have experience in injection mould toolmaking, and high precision machining, milling, grinding and fitting, both maintenance/repair and manufacture.
• Understand and have experience of fitting and assembly of complex mould tools including their repair.
• Have the ability to work to tight time scales without compromising quality and safety.
• Be knowledgeable and confident working with hot runner systems.
