Company Profile

This is a long-established, single-site SME operating with all core functions on-site, providing a cohesive and supportive work environment. Feedback from staff surveys has consistently highlighted the positive culture, where collaboration and accountability are highly valued.

The business is entering a phase of technical investment and development, strengthening its capability as experienced team members move toward retirement. They’re focused on developing technically capable, structured problem solvers who can take ownership within an autonomous, well-deployed production system.

While new tooling and refurbishment are managed internally through their NPI and Toolroom teams, a key technical challenge is maintaining customer-owned legacy tooling - an area that demands analytical, methodical, and hands-on engineering talent.

Company Culture

This is a business that truly values its people. Operating as an SME from a single site, all teams and functions work closely together, creating a genuinely supportive and connected environment. Feedback from employee surveys consistently highlights that people enjoy working here - not only because of the work itself, but because of the camaraderie, trust, and respect shared across departments.

The company doesn’t believe in micromanagement. Instead, it empowers its teams through a well-structured production system that provides clarity, consistency, and autonomy in day-to-day operations.

Every team member is encouraged to take ownership, make decisions, and contribute to ongoing improvements.

As the business looks ahead, there’s a strong focus on developing technical capability to prepare for future growth and succession.

They’re seeking people who thrive on accountability and structured problem solving - individuals who want to help shape the next phase of technical excellence.

While not directly cultural, one of the ongoing technical challenges lies in managing customer-owned tooling, some of which is legacy equipment. The team takes pride in overcoming these challenges through collaboration between the NPI and Toolroom functions, ensuring both new and existing tools are supported and maintained to high standards.

Job Profile

As the successful Technician, you’ll join the Mould shop Department, reporting to the Technical Process Manager.

You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring cost-effective, controlled production by setting up, fault finding, and maintaining injection moulding machines and ancillary equipment to the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, and consistency.

You’ll also support knowledge sharing and process standardisation across the team to continuously drive best practice and process improvements.

  • Work cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement in cost, quality, and performance.
  • Conduct routine maintenance and raise requests for tooling or equipment work (MAR, TAR etc).
  • Uphold high standards of housekeeping and promote teamwork and pride in the workplace.
  • Provide support to other company sites where required.
