Job summary

Hunter Douglas Europe is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Team Leader (NetOps & NetSec) for the EMEA region. Based in the UK, you will guide networking, security, and infrastructure transformation with a focus on reliability and scalability across 50+ sites and partners.

You will manage a regional team, shape governance, and drive modernisation of infrastructure services while collaborating with global stakeholders and suppliers.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading Network and/or Security teams in a large enterprise.
  • Experience delivering infrastructure standardisation and transformation programmes.
  • Strong understanding of hybrid cloud environments and modern infrastructure operations.
  • Familiar with ITIL service management principles.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a regional NetOps and NetSec team across EMEA.
  • Drive standardisation of infrastructure services, platforms, tools, and processes.
  • Provide technical leadership across enterprise networking, Wi‑Fi, and firewall technologies.
  • Establish and maintain infrastructure standards, governance, and service excellence.
  • Improve security, resilience, performance, and cost efficiency of the estate.
  • Support strategic initiatives including cloud adoption and DR planning.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate.
  • Partner with stakeholders across multiple countries to deliver change initiatives.

Hunter Douglas Europe is undertaking a major multi-year transformation of its infrastructure landscape, creating an exciting opportunity for an experienced Infrastructure Team Leader (NetOps & NetSec) – EMEA.

Based in the UK, and forming part of the Infrastructure Leadership Team, you will lead the evolution, standardisation, and optimisation of network and security services across a diverse EMEA environment. This is a technical leadership role, combining people leadership with deep expertise in networking, firewalls, resilience, and infrastructure best practice.

You will be responsible for ensuring secure, reliable, and scalable infrastructure services while helping to drive modernisation and operational excellence across the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop a high-performing regional NetOps and NetSec team.
  • Drive the standardisation of infrastructure services, platforms, tools, and processes across EMEA.
  • Provide technical leadership across enterprise networking, Wi‑Fi, and firewall technologies.
  • Establish and maintain infrastructure standards, governance, and service excellence.
  • Improve security, resilience, performance, and cost efficiency across the infrastructure estate.
  • Support strategic initiatives including cloud adoption, disaster recovery, and infrastructure modernisation.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend adoption where appropriate.
  • Partner with stakeholders across multiple countries and business entities to successfully deliver change initiatives.
  • Build strong relationships with suppliers and technology partners.
What We Are Looking For
  • Proven experience leading Network and/or Security teams within a complex enterprise environment.
  • Strong track record of managing, mentoring, and developing high-performing technical teams.
  • Enterprise networking (ideally across 50+ sites)
  • Cisco, Meraki and HP technologies
  • Secure network design and architecture
  • Firewall technologies, ideally Palo Alto Networks
  • Experience delivering infrastructure standardisation and transformation programmes.
  • Strong understanding of hybrid cloud environments and modern infrastructure operations.
  • Knowledge of ITIL service management principles and operational best practice.
  • Experience managing vendors, budgets, and service performance.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and change leadership skills.
  • A pragmatic, resilient, and adaptable approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
Qualifications
  • Degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP, PCNSE, or equivalent are desirable.
