Job Summary

Lloyds Banking Group is the UK's biggest Retail, Digital and Mobile bank with over 30 million customers. Our Chief Information Office (CIO) delivers the backbone infrastructure that powers this bank.

Responsibilities
  • Build a new dynamic, scalable, software‑defined and automated network solution that enables managed networks and boundary controls within LBG data centres.
  • Redesign the current network architecture to improve automation, manageability, security and application‑centric networking.
  • Integrate advanced Cisco ACI infrastructure, automate deployment and operations, and optimise toolsets for future growth.
  • Collaborate with the Data Centre network team to drive DevOps principles and technologies across the network journey.
Qualifications
  • Technical experience with Cisco Data Centre architecture and design.
  • Hands‑on experience deploying and operating advanced Cisco infrastructure via automation.
  • Modern engineering background using the latest tools and techniques.
Desired Skills
  • Infrastructure as code and CI/CD experience.
  • Scripting languages such as Shell, Python, or Ansible.
  • Terraform and cloud‑native provisioning templates.
  • Software‑defined and application‑centric networking using spine and leaf architecture.
  • Knowledge of integrating Checkpoint firewalls and F5 services (GTM, LTM, WAF) onto Cisco ACI.
  • JIRA/Confluence and ServiceNow incident, change and problem management.
