Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Quantity Surveyor for its Midlands projects. You will provide commercial support, ensuring cost control, forecasting, and subcontract management across live infrastructure schemes.

Ideal candidates will have NEC contract knowledge, a QS qualification (HND/degree) and a background in civil engineering or infrastructure. The role offers genuine progression and influence on project performance.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
• NEC contract knowledge and governance experience.
• HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
• Strong forecasting and reporting capabilities to drive commercial decisions.
• Experience managing subcontract procurement and accounts.
• Commercially confident with ability to challenge costs and seek value.
• RICS qualification or working towards it is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate monthly CVRs and forecasts.
• Manage cost and value reconciliation.
• Administer NEC contracts and procurement.
• Procure and manage subcontractors corporate governance.
• Negotiate variations and agree final accounts.
• Identify commercial opportunities and mitigate risk.
• Drive cash recovery and margin protection.
