Infrastructure Maintenance Manager

Based: Onsite Rolls-Royce, Raynesway, Derby.

Hours: 40 Mon-Fri

As an Infrastructure Maintenance Manager within JLL Work Dynamics at our client Rolls-Royce, you'll be at the forefront of shaping a brighter way for our clients and fellow employees. In this pivotal role, you'll lead and oversee the planning, implementation, and maintenance of critical infrastructure across our managed facilities. You'll collaborate with cross‑functional teams to ensure our systems and processes are robust, scalable, and aligned with our clients' needs and regulatory requirements. What your day‑to‑day will look like:
  • Design and implement infrastructure maintenance solutions that support JLL's facilities management services and client (Rolls‑Royce) needs.
  • Ensure Robust Management of the Engineering Team.
  • Primarily responsible for assisting Contract management to ensure that JLL operations are carried out in a safe and efficient manner. managing the supervisory team.
  • Manage and optimise building management systems, energy management systems, and other critical infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules and emergency response plans.
  • Collaborate with sustainability teams to implement energy‑efficient solutions.
  • Analyse and report on infrastructure performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts related to facilities services and equipment.
  • Follow Group company policies and procedures.
  • Use all work equipment and personal PPE in accordance with training received.
  • Report all issues or training needs to your Line manager and /or via the MPM Learning & Development.
  • EnsureSupervisorsand personnel have the appropriate technical competence to work safely by the identification and provision of formal training needs.
  • Assist Contract Manager and Supervisors with the identification and development of practical and effective safe working practices.
  • Ensure Robust Management of the Engineering Team.
  • Ensure operatives of the company are aware of their legal and company responsibilities.
  • Carry out assessments that are outside the competence of Operational Team i.e., Significant Risk, COSHH, DSE and other assessments.
  • Investigation of accidents and incidents and production of statistical information in relation to QHSE performance.
  • Provide assurance through audit.
  • Contribute where identified with the collation of MI.
  • Support the QHSE team in claims management and track progress on claims.
  • Assist in contract mobilisations to ensure all QHSE matters have been appropriately considered and controlled.
  • Work with the QHSE manager to develop and implement QHSE strategies to meet divisional and group objectives.
What we are looking for:
  • Experience in facilities management or maintenance related infrastructure roles.
  • Strong knowledge of building systems, energy management, and UK building regulations.
  • Experience with computerised maintenance management systems (CMMS).
  • Proven track record of successfully leading facilities management projects.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • BIFM (now IWFM) qualification or equivalent professional certification.
  • Experience with smart building technologies and IoT applications in facilities management
  • Certifications in relevant areas (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, Energy Management)
  • Knowledge of technologies in Infrastructure management and their practical applications
  • Familiarity with sustainability standards and certifications (e.g., BREEAM, ISO 14001)
  • Demonstrated ability to drive innovation and process improvements.
  • Work in a commercial, client‑facing environment.
  • Ability to manage meetings.
  • Able to deliver training on a range of subjects to varying abilities.
  • Excellent ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
  • Able to work as part of a team.
  • Diplomatic and personable.
  • Good management skills.
  • Flexible approach to work patterns.
  • Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
