East West Railway Company seeks a Legal Counsel to support infrastructure delivery, advising across DCO, planning and land matters. The role focuses on taking ownership of complex issues and delivering practical, timely advice in a fast-paced NSIP environment.

You will work within a collaborative Legal team, coordinating with delivery colleagues and external advisers to ensure compliant, efficient project progression in Milton Keynes and beyond.

Qualificações

• Qualified solicitor or barrister in England & Wales.
• Experience on major infrastructure projects.
• Clear, pragmatic communication translating legal issues for non-lawyers.

Responsabilidades

• Provide risk-based legal advice across DCO, planning, land and property workstreams.
• Advise on land matters including compulsory purchase, possession, blight, early acquisition and compensation.
• Assist with environmental, public law and other regulatory issues related to the NSIP programme.
• Instruct and manage external advisers ensuring value for money.
• Develop guidance and processes to enable efficient programme delivery.
