Responsibilities
  • Review and assess planning applications for highway and transport impacts, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and local policies.
  • Evaluate submitted documentation for all types of planning applications and prepare statutory highway and transport consultation responses.
  • Provide expert advice on highways and transport implications of development proposals.
  • Represent the Council at meetings, committees, and Planning Inquiries as required.
  • Negotiate with developers to secure appropriate infrastructure contributions and assist with the administration of Section 106 and other legal agreements.
