What You'll Be Doing
  • You’ll use your knowledge of cloud platform/infrastructure engineering to build and deliver new infrastructure that powers our platforms.
  • Keep our existing cloud systems running smoothly, evolving with our needs and improving the reliability of our solutions.
  • Make sure our platforms scale effectively with the right capacity and triggers.
  • Champion best practices in infrastructure security, resilience, and reliability.
  • You’ll use knowledge and experience of Cloud technologies to help shape our strategy.
  • Work with your team to deliver functional and non‑functional requirements ensuring these are being met during design, software development and testing.
  • Be solving technical problems at pace, identifying and implementing infrastructure updates following engineering best practices.

Get the opportunity to work with modern tech, data stacks, and cloud‑based architectures, managing both the foundational data solutions alongside the adoption of advanced AI and ML capabilities.

Qualifications & Skills
  • Experienced platform, data, and/or infrastructure engineer with a recent focus on developing solutions on cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure).
  • Strong independent reasoning and problem‑solving abilities. Excellent spoken and written communication to allow for effective teamwork on complex challenges and solutions.
  • Strong experience across cloud infrastructure – compute, storage, networking, and security.
  • Familiarity with PaaS services, serverless solutions (e.g., GCP Cloud Run), hands‑on experience with Kubernetes and container technologies.
  • A solid understanding of cloud security models (IAM, Service Principals, VPCs).
  • Practical experience with infrastructure‑as‑code practices and tooling (e.g., Terraform).
  • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools.
  • CI/CD: Detailed understanding of working automated CI/CD pipelines and experience working with tools such as Jenkins, Harness, etc.
  • It’s okay if one or two of these are things you’re not used to. We want people who are eager to learn, grow, and teach us something in the process.
Bonus Points for Experience With
  • Industry Standard: GCP Cloud Architect/Engineer certifications or equivalent.
  • Experience with Internal Developer Platform paradigm and tooling (e.g., Backstage).
  • Appreciation of data security and privacy, and architectural implications for infrastructure and application.
  • Practical experience of current technology domains and architectures – e.g., unified batch/streaming pipelines, data lake, AI/ML etc.
  • High‑level knowledge of QA, data quality, and software quality tools such as SonarQube, etc.
