Job summary

Infinity Group Holdings Limited in the UK is seeking an Infrastructure Engineer to protect and optimise customer environments across Azure and on‑premises. You’ll own the health, performance and security of systems, preventing issues before they affect customers and ensuring new solutions move smoothly into live service.

You’ll collaborate across Service Desk, Cyber Security and project delivery to implement secure configurations, patching, backup and recovery plans.

Qualifications

Experience with Windows Server, Azure infrastructure, identity and networking.
Experience with virtualization, storage and backup technologies.
Azure hybrid certification AZ-800 and AZ-801 is a strong foundation.

Responsibilities

Own day-to-day health of customer infrastructure across Azure and on-premises.
Monitor availability, performance and capacity to prevent issues.

Role Overview:

Our customers rely on their infrastructure to operate securely and without disruption. This role exists toprotect that foundation.

You’ll take ownership of the health, performance and security of customer environments across Microsoft Azure and on-premises infrastructure. You’ll prevent avoidable issues, resolve complex problems and ensure new solutions move smoothly into live service.
Working across Service Desk, Cyber Security and project delivery, you’ll help turn infrastructure supportfrom a reactive service into a proactive source of customer confidence and long-term value

What you’ll be doing:

Infrastructure health and performance

Own the day-to-day health of customer infrastructure across Azure and on-premises environments. Monitor availability, performance and capacity, taking action before emerging issues affect the customer.

Secure and controlled operations

Maintain secure configurations, access controls and patching standards across supportedplatforms. Ensure vulnerabilities are addressed within agreed timescales and that operationalactivity supports Cyber Essentials and ISO 27001 expectations.

Incident resolution and prevention

Act as an escalation point for complex infrastructure incidents. Diagnose issues across servers, storage, virtualisation, networking and cloud services, then turn root-cause findings into preventativeimprovements.

Platform maintenance and recovery

Plan and deliver patches, upgrades and maintenance activity with the right change control, testing and rollback planning. Maintain backup, restore and disaster-recovery readiness across customerenvironments.

Customer and service improvement

Identify practical ways to make customer environments more stable, secure and efficient. Provide clear recommendations that improve service quality and create opportunities for wider optimisationor modernisation.

Cross-team delivery

Work closely with Service Desk, Cyber Security and project teams to ensure infrastructure changes are supportable from day one. Create useful runbooks, accurate records and effective knowledgetransfer rather than documentation for its own sake.

The kind of problems you’ll solve

A customer’s infrastructure is slowing down, but the cause could sit across compute, storage,networking or cloud services.
An Azure or Windows Server environment has grown without enough control, creating performance, cost or security risks.
Critical patches must be deployed without disrupting customer operations.
Backup jobs appear successful, but recovery readiness has not been properly validated.
An Azure Virtual Desktop environment is creating inconsistent performance or user disruption.
Storage capacity is approaching its limit, with no clear plan for optimisation or expansion.
A recurring incident has been repeatedly fixed but never properly prevented.
A newly delivered solution is technically complete but not yet ready to be supported effectively.

You are comfortable managing competing priorities across multiple customer environments.
You bring credible experience of Windows Server, Azure infrastructure, identity, networking, virtualisation, storage and backup technologies. Azure hybrid certification, particularly AZ-800 and AZ-801, provides a strong foundation for the role.
