An Infrastructure Engineer is required to join our client’s growing IT team and make an immediate impact. This is a hands‑on role supporting key business systems and services, with a strong focus on infrastructure stability, scalability, and future growth.

As the organisation continues to expand, they need someone who can ensure systems are reliable, secure, and ready for what’s next. You’ll be working across hybrid environments, supporting 3rd line issues, and contributing to continuous improvement across the infrastructure.

Responsibilities
  • Managing and maintaining IT infrastructure including networks, cloud, and virtual environments.
  • Supporting Windows and *Nix servers, email systems, backups, and recovery solutions.
  • Administering databases (Oracle/SQL Server) and contributing to disaster recovery planning.
  • Automating infrastructure tasks and supporting new deployments.
  • Collaborating with teams to resolve vulnerabilities and improve system uptime.
  • Providing 3rd line support for escalated issues.
Skills/Technologies
  • Strong technical knowledge across networking, cloud (especially Azure), hosting, storage, virtualisation, and the Microsoft 365 stack.
  • Experience with cloud‑based mail archiving (Mimecast), Exchange, SQL Server, SharePoint.
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills.
  • Background in disaster recovery planning and hybrid backup solutions.
  • A current driving license.
Desirable
  • Degree in IT or related field.
  • Experience with IFS Apps 10, Oracle E-Business Suite, PowerShell, DevOps.
  • Database administration and DR methodologies.
