Job description

We're looking for a skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join Cranswick's growing and heavily invested Group IT department, based at our brand-new office in Brough, HU15. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a forward‑thinking team at the heart of our digital transformation journey-where you'll manage and maintain our core IT infrastructure, ensuring high performance, security, and availability across servers, virtualization, firewalls, and networks.

• Maintain and optimise HPE server infrastructure and Hyper‑V virtualization
• Configure and support Cisco switches and Meraki wireless networks
• Manage and secure Fortinet firewalls
• Implement and monitor Rubrik backup solutions
• Deliver Level 2/3 support and collaborate with IT teams to resolve complex issues
• Ensure disaster recovery and high availability solutions are tested and effective
  Hands‑on experience with HPE servers, Windows Server & Hyper‑V, with the confidence to keep things running smoothly.
• Practical knowledge of Cisco networking and Meraki wireless, with the ability to make networks reliable and secure.
• A good grasp of firewalls and IT security principles, and the drive to keep our systems protected.
• Someone who enjoys solving problems and can think on their feet when challenges arise.
• A clear communicator who can work well independently but also thrives as part of a team.
• Certifications such as HP ASE, Cisco CCNA, or Microsoft Server are a bonus - but what matters most is your skills, attitude, and willingness to learn.
