Job summary

Siena Partnership is seeking an experienced Infrastructure Architect for a contract role in Greater London. In this position, you will lead the transition of a major platform from Azure to a containerised environment, influencing the future-state architecture.

Your responsibilities include defining infrastructure architecture, designing observability solutions, and ensuring resilience and disaster recovery practices are in place. This is a key opportunity in a regulated, PE-backed scale-up.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Infrastructure, Cloud, or Platform Architect.
• Strong expertise in Kubernetes, AKS, and containerised platforms.
• Deep understanding of observability and monitoring solutions.

Contract - Infrastructure Architect - PE backed - Regulated business - Scale up

We're looking for an experienced Infrastructure Architect to support a major platform transformation, moving from a current Azure estate to a modern containerised environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and govern infrastructure architecture across Azure and container platforms.
• Design observability solutions using New Relic, Datadog, or similar tools, covering logging, metrics, tracing, alerting, and operational dashboards.
• Lead disaster recovery and resilience design across application, database, and data layers, including backup and restore testing.
• Define environment topology, segregation, and operational support models.
• Drive ITIL-aligned service transition into BAU, including operational acceptance criteria, runbooks, and escalation processes.
• Appian Cloud

Skills & Experience

• Proven Infrastructure, Cloud, or Platform Architect experience.
• Experience with Kubernetes, AKS, Docker, or containerised platforms.
• Expertise in observability and monitoring solutions.
• Strong understanding of resilience, disaster recovery, and operational readiness.
• Experience delivering service transition and ITIL-based support models.
