Job summary

Bachy Soletanche Limited, a leading geotechnical contractor, seeks an Information Security & Assurance Officer to implement ISMP controls, manage ISMS and align with ISO/IEC 27001. You’ll interface with client security operations, oversee governance, and drive continuous improvements across systems and suppliers.

You will own security incidents, coordinate with SOC providers, and deliver clear assurance reports and dashboards for executive stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Experience in information security assurance within a UK organisation.
• Strong knowledge of ISO/IEC 27001, Cyber Essentials Plus, NIST CSF, UK GDPR/DPA 2018.
• Hands-on with security tooling: Defender, SIEM, EDR/XDR, vulnerability management.
• Experience leading security incident response with SOC teams (internal or MSSP).
• Ability to produce assurance reports and executive-level dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Governance & Compliance: Implement and enforce client ISMP requirements across GSA and manage security reviews.
• Security Assurance & ISMS Ownership: Own and operate the ISMS, manage assessments, track remediation, align with GDPR and NIS2.
• O365 & Technical Security Oversight: Oversee identity & access management, MFA, endpoint protection, logging and baseline security.
• SOC Integration & Incident Management: Oversee monitoring, incident response, root-cause analysis and post‑incident reviews.
• Stakeholder Engagement: Translate technical risk into business actions and deliver security awareness across teams.
