Job summary

The Lanes Group in Birmingham is seeking a Technology Procurement and Vendor Manager to lead sourcing and management of strategic technology suppliers, including software, cloud and professional services. You will drive negotiations, renewals and cost optimisation in a hybrid, Birmingham-based role.

You will collaborate with IT, Security, Finance, Legal and Procurement teams to ensure robust supplier governance and value delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience in technology procurement, IT commercial management or vendor management.
• Strong commercial negotiation and contract-management skills.
• Experience with software licensing, SaaS or cloud agreements.
• Understanding of major technology suppliers and enterprise procurement processes.
• Strong analytical and cost-management capability.
• Excellent stakeholder and supplier relationship management.
• CIPS qualification is advantageous but not essential.

About Our Client

Our client is a major UK organisation with a substantial technology estate spanning cloud services, enterprise software, cyber security and digital transformation partners. They are strengthening their technology commercial function and are looking for an experienced Technology Procurement and Vendor Manager.

The Role

You will manage strategic technology suppliers and lead commercial activity across software, cloud and technology services. The role combines procurement, contract negotiation, supplier performance and cost optimisation.
