Your impact
Shape the Future of Water – Opportunity for an Information Manager with Digital Design Experience
Your Impact

The UK water sector is entering a period of unprecedented investment and transformation, creating a unique opportunity to redefine how critical water and wastewater infrastructure is planned, designed, delivered and operated. As an Information Manager within Jacobs' Regulated Water team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that information, data and digital delivery processes enable successful project outcomes across some of the UK's most significant infrastructure programmes.

Your expertise will help drive consistency, quality and compliance across project information and digital deliverables, ensuring multidisciplinary teams can collaborate effectively and make informed decisions throughout the project lifecycle. Through the implementation of industry-leading information management practices, Common Data Environments and ISO 19650 workflows, you will support Jacobs' digital transformation ambitions while delivering value for our clients, communities and the environment.

Beyond project delivery, you will help shape the future of digital delivery within our water business by promoting best practice, championing innovation, supporting the adoption of emerging technologies and helping develop the next generation of BIM and information management professionals.

What's In It for You

At Jacobs, you'll have the opportunity to be part of a growing and highly respected digital delivery community working on some of the UK's largest and most complex water and infrastructure programmes.

You’ll benefit from
  • The opportunity to influence digital delivery and information management strategies across major regulated water projects.
  • Exposure to industry-leading professionals across engineering, digital delivery, BIM, GIS, information management and project delivery disciplines.
  • A collaborative environment that encourages innovation, continuous improvement and the adoption of emerging digital technologies.
  • Career development opportunities within a global organisation at the forefront of digital project delivery
  • Opportunities to mentor, train and support colleagues while helping shape standards, processes and best practices across the business
  • The chance to work with industry-leading digital platforms including ProjectWise, Autodesk solutions, model coordination tools and emerging data technologies
  • Flexible working and the opportunity to support projects throughout the full asset lifecycle, from planning and design through construction, handover and operation
About The Opportunity

Our Regulated Water business is experiencing significant growth as clients invest in programmes that improve resilience, sustainability and customer outcomes. As an Information Manager, you will join a multidisciplinary team that is central to delivering these ambitions through effective information management, digital collaboration and governance.

Working closely with project managers, designers, engineers, clients and digital delivery professionals, you will lead the implementation of project information management requirements and support the delivery of high-quality digital outcomes. You will establish and oversee Common Data Environments, guide teams in the application of ISO 19650 principles and ensure project information is managed effectively throughout the entire project lifecycle.

You will have the opportunity to influence how information is delivered across projects, support digital innovation initiatives and help embed consistent standards, processes and workflows. The role offers significant visibility across project teams and provides an excellent platform for professionals who are passionate about improving how information, data and digital technology can enhance infrastructure delivery.

In addition, you will play an important role within the wider BIM and digital community by supporting onboarding, mentoring and capability development, helping to raise digital maturity across both projects and teams.

Here’s what you’ll need
  • Experience in Information Management, BIM, Digital Engineering or Digital Delivery within the water, infrastructure, utilities or broader built environment sectors
  • Proven experience leading or managing information management and digital delivery activities on multidisciplinary projects.
  • Strong understanding of ISO 19650 information management principles, with practitioner certification or equivalent practical experience
  • Experience establishing, managing and governing Common Data Environments and project information workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of BIM processes, information management practices and collaborative digital delivery methodologies
  • Experience working with platforms such as Bentley ProjectWise, Autodesk solutions, Asite or similar information management environments.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design information, information exchanges and digital deliverables to meet client requirements
  • Understanding of model coordination, federated model reviews, issue management and clash detection workflows
  • Working knowledge of digital design tools such as Revit, Civil 3D and AutoCAD, enabling effective engagement with project delivery teams
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence teams and drive best practice
  • A passion for quality, continuous improvement, digital innovation and developing others.
