Job summary

Assystem, a leading nuclear engineering group, seeks an Information Management/BIM Specialist in the UK to support ISO 19650 standards and CDE governance. You will develop EIRs, coordinate BIM/CAD deliverables, and produce monthly Power BI insights from the CDE to drive project performance.

You will lead meetings and help implement AIR/PIR/OIR while ensuring quality and governance across the lifecycle. You will work with contractors across multi-disciplinary teams, promoting BIM best practices

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of ISO 19650 standards and BIM information management.
• Experience configuring, administering and improving Common Data Environments (CDEs).
• Proficient in BIM authoring and coordination tools including Revit and Navisworks.
• Extensive QA of CAD and BIM deliverables to meet standards and client needs.
• Proven track record on complex multi-disciplinary projects with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
• Advanced Power BI user producing monthly progress reports and insights.
• Ability to monitor information delivery performance and provide data-driven decisions.
• Focus on information governance and delivering BIM/digital engineering requirements.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Developed and maintained Exchange Information Requirements (EIRs), supporting standards, specifications, and information management documentation.
• Liaised with contractors and supply chain partners to ensure BIM deliverables were produced, quality assured, published, and shared in line with project requirements.
• Produced monthly Power BI reports using data extracted from the Common Data Environment (CDE), providing project performance and information management insights.
• Represented the Information Management team at project meetings, capturing actions, tracking progress, and maintaining the team task list.
• Assisted in the development and implementation of:
  • Asset Information Requirements (AIR)
  • Project Information Requirements (PIR)
  • Organisational Information Requirements (OIR)
• Conducted quality assurance reviews of CAD and BIM deliverables, ensuring compliance with project standards and client requirements.
• Supported the maintenance, administration, and continuous improvement of the project's Common Data Environment (CDE).
• Chaired and facilitated model coordination and clash detection meetings, working collaboratively with contractors to resolve design conflicts and improve interdisciplinary coordination.
• Promoted best-practice information management and BIM processes, ensuring alignment with project governance, standards, and delivery requirements.
• Ensured project information and BIM deliverables were accurately managed, controlled, and distributed to stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

• Strong knowledge of ISO 19650 standards and best practices for BIM and Information Management.
• Experienced in the configuration, administration, and continuous improvement of Common Data Environments (CDEs) to support efficient project information management.
• Proficient in BIM authoring and coordination tools, including Revit and Navisworks.
• Experienced in model federation and clash detection, ensuring coordinated design and effective interface management across multiple disciplines.
• Skilled in developing standards, specifications, and contractual documentation to support project information requirements and delivery objectives.
• Extensive experience in the Quality Assurance of CAD and BIM deliverables, ensuring compliance with project standards and client requirements.
• Proven track record of working on complex, multi-disciplinary projects, collaborating across diverse stakeholder groups and technical disciplines.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, working effectively with clients, contractors, consultants, and project teams.
• Advanced user of Power BI, producing monthly progress reports, analysing project data, and measuring contractor performance against key project metrics.
• Experienced in monitoring information delivery performance, identifying trends, and providing data-driven insights to support project decision-making.
• Strong focus on information governance, design coordination, and the successful delivery of BIM and digital engineering requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
