This is where you come in.

Responsibilities

As Information Governance Officer you will provide administrative support with the day‑to‑day activities of the IG function, supporting the NCC’s Information Governance Manager and Data Protection Officer. You will ensure that matters concerning Information Governance are processed efficiently and in accordance with legislation, providing guidance on policy & procedure and shaping how we manage and protect information across the NCC.

This newly created role offers a truly exciting opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in Information Governance (IG), Records Management (RM), Freedom of Information (FOI) and Data Protection (DP) while developing valuable skills in a supportive working environment.

On‑the‑job training will be provided and academic knowledge will complement your role to develop your career as an IG Officer.

Qualifications
  • Confident communicator who can build strong working relationships with all staff and encourage a culture of trust, openness, and ethical and legal compliance.
  • Organised and enthusiastic approach; knowledge of GDPR and Data Protection legislation/regulation is highly beneficial.
  • Experience working with UKG classification of Official Sensitive and higher documents, especially with suppliers in Defence and Space.
  • Ability to obtain security clearance.
  • Willingness to develop a career in Information Governance and Data Protection.
