Information Governance & Compliance Lead - Poole-Up to £33,000

We're seeking a proactive and detail-driven Information Governance & Compliance Lead. You'll play a key role in protecting data integrity, supporting compliance with UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act 2018, and the NHS Data Security & Protection Toolkit (DSPT).

As the Information Governance & Compliance Lead, you will play a vital role in safeguarding data integrity and ensuring the organisation meets National information governance standards. You will support compliance with the Data Protection Act, GDPR and the DSPT.

Working across and supporting various teams within the Business, you will co-ordinate & monitor audit completion, manage data breaches, write and review policies and deliver IG & compliance training.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the Information Governance (IG) framework and ensure compliance with NHS DSP Toolkit, GDPR, and Data Protection Act 2018
  • Write, review, and update IG policies and deliver staff training on data protection and confidentiality
  • Manage data breaches, DPIAs, SARs, FOI requests, and maintain the Information Asset Register
  • Lead CQC preparation, audits, and compliance reporting across the organisation
  • Act as the main IG contact for NHS Digital, regulators, and partners
