Job summary

Vulcain Engineering UK is seeking an Information Analyst to support data-focused initiatives within a highly regulated environment. You will gather requirements, translate them for business and technical teams, and contribute to information management, governance and architecture activities.

The role requires strong data analysis skills, experience in information flows, and ability to work across multiple projects in a nuclear/regulated setting.

Qualifications

  • Strong information/business analysis experience, ideally delivering digital or transformation initiatives.
  • Experience with information management, data governance, information architecture, MDM or data quality.
  • Experience mapping information flows and working with data.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Experience documenting business processes and information flows.

Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyse and document business and information requirements.
  • Engage with stakeholders across business and IT to define solutions.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews and requirements gathering sessions.
  • Create process maps and information flows; document project artifacts.
  • Support information management, data governance, information architecture and data quality initiatives.
  • Analyse current and future-state processes to identify improvements.

The Position: Information Analyst

The Information Analyst will support a range of information and data-focused initiatives within a large, complex and highly regulated environment.

The Information Analyst will work closely with stakeholders, gather and translate requirements, and helping improve how information and data is managed. The role supports Information Management, Data Governance and Information Architecture activities while acting as a key link between business and technical teams.

Some of the main responsibilities of the Information Analyst will include:

  • Elicit, analyse and document business and information requirements.
  • Engage with stakeholders across business and IT functions to understand challenges and define solutions.
  • Facilitate workshops, interviews and requirements gathering sessions.
  • Create process maps, information flows and supporting project documentation.
  • Support Information Management, Data Governance, Information Architecture, MDM and Data Quality initiatives.
  • Analyse current and future-state processes to identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Work across multiple projects and priorities within a complex delivery environment.
  • Ensure requirements are clearly understood and aligned to business objectives.
Preferred Profile:

  • Strong Information/Business Analysis experience, ideally delivering digital, transformation or project initiatives.
  • Experience within Information Management, Data Governance, Information Architecture, Master Data Management (MDM) or Data Quality.
  • Strong bachground in working with data and mapping information flows
  • Experience with Visio or similar process mapping tools
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Experience documenting business processes and information flows.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Experience working within large, complex organisations.
  • Comfortable operating within regulated, infrastructure, engineering, utilities, energy or similar environments.
  • Understanding of data governance frameworks and information management best practices would be beneficial
