About The Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Information Analyst to join the Data Quality and Innovation Team within North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis.

As part of a friendly and forward‑thinking team, you will help to drive improvements in the accuracy, completeness and reliability of our data across the organisation. Your work will play a vital role in supporting operational performance, digital transformation, and patient‑centred care.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of standard and ad‑hoc data quality reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Collaborate with the Informatics and Digital Innovation teams to share knowledge and improve processes.
• Support the development and maintenance of information systems, ensuring data flows are accurate, validated and understood.
• Support directorates in analysing and interpreting data for business planning and service development.
• Undertake regular data quality audits, providing feedback and recommendations to operational teams.
• Perform routine and ad‑hoc data extractions from multiple sources.

About You

You will be educated to degree level (or equivalent experience) and have demonstrable analytical skills, including proficiency in SQL and Microsoft Excel, and experience of Power BI report development. You’ll be confident working independently, managing competing priorities, and communicating effectively with colleagues at all levels.

Experience within the NHS or another healthcare setting is desirable but not essential — what’s most important is your curiosity, attention to detail and commitment to improving data quality to support better care.
