We are looking to recruit a informatics specialist midwife and can offer an exciting opportunity to lead on informatics within the maternity department at Whipps Cross Hospital.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and IT competent midwife. You will co‑ordinate and lead on the digital strategy for Maternity at Whipps Cross but also support the wider Barts Health Informatics strategy working closely across site with your counterparts. You will also be required to support information technology regarding clinical documentation. Barts Health uses Cerner Millennium (CRS) for recording clinical records, therefore knowledge of a computer‑based clinical documentation is essential.

You will have overall responsibility to ensure the accuracy of data within the service and provide reports as required. The role also includes new developments in IT and, currently, we are in the process of securing a new Informatics system, so you will support its implementation.

The successful candidate will be supported by the senior management team and counterparts across the three maternity units and the wider informatics team.

As part of the Maternity Team, you will co‑ordinate and provide information technology support and training. You will have an overall responsibility for ensuring the accuracy of data within the service and work closely with staff to ensure that they are supported with the inputting of correct information electronically. You will be responsible for the preparation of the maternity dashboard and would also incorporate producing monthly key performance indicator reports for dissemination, discussion, and data quality assurance.
