Overview

Salisbury NHS Foundation Trust is implementing a new Electronic Patient Record (EPR) system. We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Informatics Business Partner to shape, deliver, and embed this major digital change programme across the organisation. This is a fixed-term opportunity providing secondment cover for substantive post holders who are due to return to their roles in February 2027.

Responsibilities

Join Salisbury Hospital's Information Services team as a Business Partner. Work closely with operational and clinical teams in your Division and deliver analysis to support delivery of the best patient care. Support the drive for improved data literacy and data governance across the Trust, embed the use of self-service BI, and engage divisions to guide them toward intelligent decision making. Play a key role in the implementation of a new business intelligence tool for the Trust and support the division alignment project whereby team members become aligned to Trust divisions. Qualifications

Desirable and essential criteria are listed below.

  • Degree or equivalent in numerical subject, and evidence of continuing professional development
  • At least 2 years' experience in information analysis and interpretation
  • Experience of working in a complex and demanding environment
  • Strong statistical and analytical knowledge, with the ability to interpret and present conclusions, both written and verbal, to a wide range of customers
  • Experienced in working with and managing complex data sets
  • Knowledge of SQL Server programming and administration tasks relevant to data processing and transformation
  • Good knowledge of advanced features of Microsoft Excel 2010, including writing complex formulae, pivot tables and lookups, to manipulate and present data
  • Highly skilled in the interpretation and presentation of data, with the ability to adapt style to suit the target audience
  • Specialist knowledge and experience of information management and business intelligence in an NHS information analyst role (desirable)
  • Experience relevant to working in an acute Trust (desirable)
  • Experience of mentoring staff, including those that are not data literate (desirable)
  • An expert knowledge of NHS reporting, structures, content and data standards (desirable)
  • Previous experience with Power BI (desirable)
