About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Influencer PR Specialist to join our marketing team at BYD UK. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years’ hands‑on experience working with UK influencers, and a strong track record in influencer relations, campaign execution, and social buzz building. This role requires a deep understanding of the UK influencer ecosystem, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive organic advocacy for the brand.

The Influencer PR Specialist will collaborate closely with the Social Media team, PR team, Dealer Marketing team, and broader marketing stakeholders to enhance BYD’s brand visibility and storytelling through influencer partnerships that create authentic and engaging content.

Main Responsibilities
Influencer Strategy & Planning
  • Develop and execute a UK‑focused influencer strategy aligned with BYD’s brand and marketing objectives.
  • Identify, evaluate, and recruit influencers across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube and other priority platforms (focus on lifestyle, automotive, and tech creators).
Influencer Collaboration Management
  • Lead influencer outreach, negotiation, onboarding, briefing, and relationship nurturing.
  • Manage both paid and earned influencer campaigns, ensuring high‑quality deliverables and brand‑aligned storytelling.
  • Work closely with creators to co‑develop content angles that balance creative freedom with brand consistency.
Campaign Execution & Coordination
  • Coordinate campaign timelines, approvals, product logistics, and event invitations (e.g., launch events, test drives, experiences).
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and external partners (agencies, dealers, suppliers) to ensure smooth execution.
Content & Brand Alignment
  • Review and approve influencer content, ensuring messaging consistency and compliance with brand guidelines and legal requirements (including ASA guidance and hashtag use).
Performance Analysis & Reporting
  • Monitor campaign performance and creator outputs using key metrics (reach, engagement, conversion, sentiment).
  • Provide campaign reports and insights, with recommendations to improve future influencer performance and strategy.
Crisis & Risk Awareness
  • Flag content or influencer risks in advance, and support reactive communication scenarios when needed.
Dealer Network Support
  • Collaborate with the Dealer Marketing team to support local influencer requests and encourage dealer‑driven influencer collaboration where appropriate.
Ideal Candidate Profile
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience in UK influencer marketing (brand or agency side).
  • Strong network or proven experience working with UK influencers across TikTok/Instagram/YouTube.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship‑building skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure with strong flexibility and resilience.
  • Understanding of influencer KPIs, performance tracking, and campaign optimisation.
  • Skilled in briefing talent and giving constructive creative direction.
  • Fluent written and spoken English; excellent copy sense is a strong plus.
  • Experience in PR or social‑driven storytelling is preferred.
  • Academic background in Marketing, PR, Communications or similar is a plus.
