Job summary

The Wellcome Trust is seeking a Policy Adviser to join its Infectious Diseases policy work in London, with hybrid working. You will lead policy projects, conduct evidence-based analysis, and develop briefs to influence decision-makers and partners.

Collaborating across Policy, Government Relations and Strategic Partnerships, you’ll build relationships with external stakeholders and policymakers to advance Wellcome’s infectious disease strategy and global health priorities.

Qualifications

• Experience in developing and influencing policy to support policy change.
• Demonstrable experience producing high-quality policy analysis and briefings for senior decision-makers.
• Ability to build and influence relationships with stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
• Strong analytical skills to translate complex information into actionable messages.
• Experience in infectious disease, global health or R&D policy is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver policy projects supporting Wellcome’s strategic priorities from planning to delivery.
• Conduct analysis and produce evidence-based recommendations, briefings, and policy products.
• Collaborate with Policy, Government Relations, Strategic Partnerships and Corporate Affairs for advocacy and communications strategies.
• Build and maintain relationships with external partners and policymakers to maximise impact.
• Represent Wellcome in forums, contributing to its reputation as a trusted voice in health policy.
• Support a high-performing, inclusive team culture and cross-team priorities aligned with Wellcome’s values.
