A leading healthcare provider in Scotland is seeking a qualified nurse to join their Infection Prevention & Control Team. This role involves working closely with senior nurses to deliver effective IPC services across multiple hospitals. Candidates must possess a live NMC registration, a degree in nursing, and be willing to pursue further qualifications in infection control. The position requires excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork in a demanding environment. Flexible working arrangements may be considered.

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Infection Prevention & Control (IPC) Team currently based at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital with a remit for Queen Elizabeth University Hospital, Gartnavel General Hospital and Beatson Oncology Centre, but will also be required to work with other IPCTs within NHSGGC. The post holder will work closely with the Senior Infection Prevention and Control Nurses and Lead Nurse to assist with the delivery of the sector IPC service on all matters relating to the prevention and control of infection by providing strategic direction and advice to NHSGGC. This requires the post holder to have excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a team in a challenging healthcare environment.

As from 1st April 2026, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro‑rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
