Job summary

Safran is seeking a Reach / Indus Engineer at our Slough site to lead the industrialisation of new products from concept to production, ensuring re-industrialisation and regulatory compliance. You will define and improve manufacturing processes, specify tooling and equipment, and drive cost-efficient solutions.

You will collaborate with Design, Manufacturing, Quality and Procurement across UK and international sites, mentor colleagues, and report KPIs and risks to stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree (Mechanical/Industrial/Manufacturing) is essential.
• Experience in industrialisation / production engineering in a manufacturing environment (aerospace, automotive, or similar).
• Strong project management and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and process validation (including special processes).
• Exposure to REACH / material compliance.

Responsibilities

• Industrialisation of new products and manage major changes impacting existing products.
• Define, develop, and improve manufacturing processes to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost performance.
• Design tools, fixtures and production flows, including 2D/3D CAD.
• Define machine requirements and commissioning plans; develop proof of concepts (e.g. 3D printing).
• Coordinate internal and external stakeholders (engineering, manufacturing, suppliers) and manage documentation (PFMEA, Process Flow, Control Plan, VSM).
• Monitor KPIs and report progress and risks to stakeholders.
