Job summary

Northpoint, an employee-owned coatings specialist in Dukinfield, is seeking an Industrial Wet Paint Sprayer to join its growing operation. You’ll prepare, mix and apply coatings to industrial components, ensuring finish and specifications are met and working as part of a team.

Day shifts, 37.5 hours per week, with typical 6am–2pm start. Permanent, full-time position with a competitive hourly rate (£16–£19, or £20–£22 with heavy industrial experience) and benefits including a company pension and

Qualifications

• Industrial wet paint spraying experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
• Understanding of preparation, mixing, application and finishing coatings.
• Experience with industrial spray equipment.
• Ability to follow job instructions and coating specifications.
• Good attention to detail and ability to spot coating defects.
• Safe working practices when handling paints and solvents.

Responsibilities

• Prepare components for painting: cleaning, degreasing and masking.
• Mix and prepare paints per manufacturers’ instructions.
• Set up and operate spray equipment to apply coatings.
• Follow specifications and drying/curing requirements.
• Check coverage, finish and coating quality; report defects.
• Carry out touch-ups and rework as needed.
• Clean spray guns and equipment; perform routine checks.
• Handle and store paints, solvents and consumables safely.
• Complete production and quality records.
• Maintain a clean, safe workspace following H&S procedures.
• Work with colleagues to meet production schedules while maintaining quality.
