Job summary

TAIT is seeking a skilled Spray Painter to prepare and apply industrial paint finishes to metal components in a manufacturing environment. You will use spray equipment, mix primers and colors, and ensure surfaces meet quality standards.

The role requires good numeracy, mechanical aptitude, and attention to detail. A time-served apprenticeship or NVQ/CSCS certification is desirable. Safety and efficiency are essential for meeting production schedules.

Qualifications

• Good numeracy and mechanical skills.
• Experience with industrial paint techniques and equipment.
• Right to work in the UK; time-served apprenticeship desirable.

Responsibilities

• Operate spray equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on metal products.
• Apply paint and primer to components as specified by the customer.
• Prepare units for finishing by sanding, degreasing, and other prep work.
• Mix paint and monitor drying to ensure the desired finish.
