About The Role

Trawsfynydd Site is a twin reactor decommissioning site located in the Eryri National Park, Wales. The site has been selected as an NRS lead and learn site for a rolling programme of decommissioning, and to date key successes include bulk asbestos removal, and storage of all solid intermediate level waste, resins and liquid in an interim storage facility.

Decommissioning such a facility requires us to constantly innovate and evolve to meet a multitude of varied challenges.

We are looking for someone to provide expert level conventional safety advice, who’s willing to challenge inappropriate conditions or behaviours and contribute significantly to a positive safety culture – to help ensure that everyone goes home safe every day.

Applicants should be confident communicators, capable of interpreting many sources of information as a basis for forming compelling advice and investigating, writing and presenting reports – developing SMART actions based on any findings.

Please note the contractual hours for this role are 07.25 – 17.00 Monday – Thursday, perfect for someone looking for a four‑day working week.
