Job description

Industrial Refrigeration Engineer – Central Belt – to £52k. Paid door to door. 40 hour week, with typically 10 hours a week of overtime available, 1 in 4 call out with £235 standby allowance. 26 days holiday.

This role involves service, maintenance and troubleshooting of industrial and commercial refrigeration systems across sites such as:

  • Low temperature food distribution centres
  • Chill temperature distribution stores
  • In line freezing plant for the food industry
  • Air blast freezing plant
  • Large water chilling plant for the dairy industry
  • Ice production plants for chemical process
  • Process cooling plant for the chemical industry
  • Horizontal and vertical plate freezing
  • Abattoir plants
  • Pumped ammonia with hot gas defrost
  • Low pressure receiver systems with reverse cycle defrost

You will have

  • Valid FGas certification and Ammonia Safe Handling training.
  • City & Guilds Level 2 or 3 in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (or equivalent).
  • Strong fault-finding skills on both mechanical and electrical systems.
