A leading refrigeration services provider is seeking an experienced Industrial & Commercial Refrigeration Service Engineer to cover various locations in the Midlands and East England. Key responsibilities include performing maintenance and service visits on various refrigeration equipment, as well as taking part in standby rotations. The ideal candidate should possess relevant technical certificates and have strong commercial awareness. This position is on-site in Leicestershire.

Job description

Job Purpose

Integral Cooling Technology is currently seeking an experienced Industrial & Commercial Refrigeration Service Engineer (North) to cover various customer locations throughout the Midlands and East parts of the country (East Midlands, South Yorkshire & Lincolnshire).

Key Responsibilities

• Proactively deliver engineering tasks, including maintenance and service visits to food factories, RDCs, and warehouses on a variety of equipment. This includes Recip, Scroll, and Screw compressor packs including Ammonia, CO2 & HFC/HFO installations.
• Carry out service and reactive breakdown cover in normal working hours, along with supporting out-of-hours works by being part of a standby rota.
• Observe internal and client support functions to meet the requirements and objectives of customers and the business.
• Ensure engineering tasks are supported with appropriate commercial awareness and business system compliance at all times.
• Be responsible for the quality of each engineering task in support of contract responsibilities, ensuring all practices are followed at all times.
• Conform to industry best practice and legislative guidelines.
• Demonstrate proven knowledge of the Industrial Refrigeration engineering services sector and the expectations of Industrial Refrigeration customers.
• Demonstrate the appropriate technical competencies and certificates relevant to the skills required (e.g., 2079 Refrigerant handling, ACRIB, Ammonia).
• Have completed a recognized training course or apprenticeship in Industrial Refrigeration.
• Maintain a good base knowledge of maintenance and service duties on medium to large industrial applications.
• Have experience of large central plant technical diagnosis and fault-finding for various installations; experience on refrigeration compressors such as Grasso, Sabroe, J&E Hall, GEA, Mycom, etc.
