Job summary

Echelon Engineers is seeking a Design Engineer to join its established consultancy, delivering design and construction management services to industrial clients across the UK. You will carry out detailed design work on projects ranging from small modifications to large installations and support the delivery team to meet deadlines.

The role combines design with site activity: travel to client sites for surveys, then translate findings into 2D/3D drawings using Revit, AutoCAD and Plant 3D.

Qualifications

• Educated to HNC level or above in a relevant discipline.
• Proficient in Autodesk Revit, AutoCAD and Plant 3D; Inventor experience desirable.
• Experience in industrial design, including 3D modelling of buildings, pipework and supports, equipment, and bespoke industrial structures or units
• Proven experience producing construction-ready 2D detail drawings
• Able to work both as part of a team and on your own initiative
• Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite
• Full UK driving licence
• Valid passport

Responsibilities

• Carry out detailed design work on small to large-scale industrial projects
• Prepare and check 2D and 3D technical designs and drawings
• Produce 2D detailed design drawings ready for construction
• Undertake site surveys at client locations across the UK
• Provide technical support to the delivery team so activity deadlines are met
• Make sure designs meet client needs, quality standards and budget constraints
• Follow common data environment (CDE) procedures for document control and collaboration
