A leading consultancy firm in Exeter is seeking an undergraduate for a 12-month Industrial Placement in Civil Engineering. This role will provide hands-on experience in civil engineering design for non-infrastructure wastewater projects. Exeter And Croydon | 12‑Month Placement
We are looking for a motivated undergraduate to join our Non‑Infrastructure Wastewater team for a 12‑month industrial placement. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on civil engineering design experience within a consultancy environment, supporting the delivery of wastewater treatment and process‑based assets.
You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering non‑infra wastewater projects such as treatment works upgrades, process plant improvements, tanks, structures, drainage, and associated civil works.
You will be joining a hard‑working and experienced team specialising predominantly on wastewater and clean water projects, infrastructure, or non‑infrastructure. The team works collaboratively across the UK and this role would be based in our Croydon office. You will have the opportunity to work on many key projects in the Water sector. One of our recent successes was the upgrade of the Arley Sewage Treatment Works to comply with stringent water quality targets under the Water Framework Directive. As an Industrial Placement Student, you will support civil engineering design activities across feasibility, outline, and detailed design stages. Under the guidance of experienced engineers, you will contribute to technical designs, calculations, drawings, and project documentation.
