Job summary

AkzoNobel in Slough is offering an Industrial Placement Analyst role for a 12-month fixed-term contract, starting 01 July 2027, with a salary of £27,000. This placement provides hands-on experience in data-driven optimisation and contributes to commercial reporting, margin tools, and pricing initiatives.

You will support the data architecture journey, including cloud-based data lakehouse concepts and Microsoft Fabric to enhance analytics for business decisions.

Qualifications

• Currently studying for a degree requiring a placement year in industry; BSc/MSc in Business Analytics, Data Science or similar preferred.
• Experience of managing and manipulating data to solve problems.
• Some knowledge of business essentials / finance / data analysis.
• Computer literate with Excel, Power Query and Power BI.
• Able to learn new tools / techniques quickly.

Industrial Placement Analyst

Job Purpose

You will gain valuable work experience supporting various data driven optimisation projects covering a range of business-critical requirements such as enhancing commercial reporting, margin management tools, master data excellence, and pricing initiatives. We are in an exciting period of driving our data architecture and data capability forwards including cloud-based data lakehouse technology and using Microsoft Fabric to drive the next generation in business analytics to support business decision making.

Job Requirements
