Job summary

Surface Engineers Ltd in Hyde is seeking an experienced Industrial Painter / Blaster to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will handle preparation and coating of industrial components using grit blasting and airless spray equipment to achieve a high-quality finish with safety at the forefront.

We’re looking for someone who can work with minimal supervision, is a reliable team player and can commit to Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Industrial Painter/Blaster/Sprayer.
• Experience using airless spray pumps.
• Grit blasting experience.
• Solid understanding of industrial health and safety requirements.
• Experience handling hazardous substances with proper controls.
• Ability to work to a high standard with minimal supervision.
• Good teamwork and reliable attitude.

Responsibilities

• Prepare surfaces and apply protective coatings to industrial components.
• Operate grit blasting and airless spray equipment to high-quality finishes.
• Follow health and safety protocols and risk assessments.
• Collaborate with the team to meet project deadlines.
• Maintain equipment and report any faults promptly.

We’re Hiring – Industrial Painter / Blaster | Hyde

Surface Engineers Ltd is expanding, and we’re looking for an experienced Industrial Painter / Blaster to join our team in Hyde.

This is a full-time, permanent position for someone with a strong background in industrial blasting and protective coating applications, who takes pride in producing a high-quality finish and working safely.

The Role

You’ll be involved in the preparation and coating of a range of industrial components, using grit blasting and airless spray equipment to apply protective coating systems to a high standard.

We’re looking for someone who can work confidently with minimum supervision, while also being a reliable team player.

Monday–Friday | 8:00am–4:30pm

£14–£19 per hour, depending on experience

Overtime Available

Further Training will be provided to the right candidates.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

• Proven experience as an Industrial Painter / Blaster / Sprayer
• Experience using airless spray pumps
• Grit blasting experience
• Good understanding of industrial health & safety requirements
• Experience working with hazardous substances and appropriate controls
• Ability to work to a high standard with minimal supervision
• Good team-working skills and a reliable attitude

Desirable qualifications & experience: (not essential):

• ICATS
• Metal spraying
• IPAF 3A & 3B / MEWP
• FLT licence
Overhead crane experience
• Full UK driving licence
• Knowledge of NACE and NORSOK coating specifications
