Job summary

Carbon60 in the United Kingdom is seeking a hands-on Shift Operator for a demanding manufacturing role. You will handle materials, operate processes, and maintain strict HSE procedures on a rotating day/night schedule.

This position requires comfort with dusty environments, manual handling, and lone working. The successful candidate will be detail‑oriented, safety conscious, and able to follow documentation and input data into systems.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of Health & Safety procedures.
• Comfortable working in a dirty, dusty environment and on a physically demanding line.
• Willingness to work rotating day/night shifts and perform manual handling.
• Experience in manufacturing, production, or chemical processing environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Process materials including solutions, powders, and metallics.
• Carry out operations such as solvent/solid separation, milling and blending.
• Produce samples for assay testing and ensure consistency.
• Complete documentation and input data into systems.
• Follow strict health and safety procedures and use RPE on the shop floor.
• Perform routine tasks independently, including some lone working.
