Job summary

Pro-Found Recruitment Solutions are recruiting for a hands-on Mechanical Engineer/Mechanical Fitter to join our client in the DN12 area of Rotherham. This is a manufacturing role focused on fitting, installation, maintenance and fault-finding to keep plant running efficiently.

The successful candidate will have strong mechanical fitting and installation skills, experience in stripping down and rebuilding equipment, and the ability to read engineering drawings. Site-based role with a 40-hour week.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in mechanical fitting, installation and maintenance.
• Ability to identify faults and carry out repairs to keep production running.
• Proven experience in working in an industrial manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned and reactive mechanical maintenance.
• Mechanical fitting, assembly and installation of machinery and plant.
• Stripping down, repairing and rebuilding mechanical equipment.
• Mechanical fault-finding and diagnosing equipment breakdowns.
• Installing and replacing mechanical components.
• Working with conveyors, pumps, gearboxes, bearings, shafts and associated equipment.
• Providing preventative maintenance and improvements on machinery.
