This site-based role will cover the Central Belt and will support electrical installation, testing, pre-commissioning, maintenance and fault-finding activities across water, utilities and industrial client sites.
WGM is growing through secured long-term frameworks across the UK water sector, including Scottish Water SR27 and major multi-year programmes with United Utilities and Southern Water.
For our people, that means long-term career security, bigger project exposure, technical development and room to progress. At WGM, you will be close to the work, close to decisions and close to the impact, with the visibility of a smaller business and the stability of a growing UK engineering company.
As an Industrial Electrician, you will deliver electrical installation, maintenance, testing and pre-commissioning works across site-based operational and project environments. Working as part of the E&M Services team, you will support safe, compliant and high-quality delivery across a range of client sites.
The role will involve installing, maintaining, repairing and fault-finding electrical equipment, interpreting RAMS, completing daily task-specific risk assessments, supporting NICEIC certification and working in line with BS7671, client specifications, WGM Electrical Safety Rules and Isolation Safety Rules.
You will also review electrical design information, complete red-line mark-ups for as-built drawings, support onsite design changes and work closely with colleagues, clients, subcontractors and wider delivery teams.
Knowledge of WIMES specifications, NICEIC certification, Electrical Safety Rules, Isolation Safety Rules or Competent Person responsibilities would be beneficial, but not essential.
You will be joining a business delivering essential infrastructure across the UK water sector, with long-term secured work, varied sites and the opportunity to develop your skills in a supportive, hands‑on environment.
We invest in our people through training, mentoring, technical development and opportunities to progress. For this role, that includes training towards Competent Person level in relation to Electrical Safety Rules and Isolation Safety Rules where appropriate.
We offer a competitive benefits package designed to support our people both inside and outside of work. This includes:
