Job summary

Amteck is hiring Electrical Maintenance Technicians to perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of electrical systems in industrial environments. You will ensure compliance with NFPA 70B, OEM specs and NETA standards, while maintaining reliability, safety and uptime of facility electrical infrastructure.

Responsibilities include infrared thermography, visual inspections, testing of power distribution, and maintaining thorough documentation.

Qualifications

5+ years in an industrial electrical maintenance setting.
Strong understanding of electrical theory and power distribution.
Ability to develop and execute preventive maintenance strategies.
High proficiency with electrical tools, diagnostic instruments and testing equipment.
Strong computer proficiency for reports and project information.
Ability to interpret arc‑flash studies and safety protocols.
Knowledge of NEC, OSHA, NFPA 70E and related safety standards.
Willingness to travel up to 100% of the time.

Responsibilities

Perform electrical preventive maintenance and testing per NFPA 70B, OEM specs, and NETA standards.
Conduct infrared thermography to identify faults.
Inspect electrical components, wiring and connections for wear or damage.
Clean, lubricate and service electrical equipment for performance and longevity.
Test power distribution systems, control equipment, and motors.
Assess equipment condition to identify risks and improvements.
Apply LOTO, arc-flash awareness and review arc-flash studies.
Support EHS initiatives and safe work practices.
Document inspections, test results, corrective actions, and recommendations.
Identify and mitigate issues to minimize downtime and costs.
Communicate with customers, supervisors and team members about work and equipment.
Enforce safety programs and site-specific safety requirements.
