Job summary

CRA Legal in Leeds seeks an experienced Industrial Disease Fee Earner to join its claimant team on a full-time, permanent hybrid basis. You will manage a varied caseload of complex industrial disease matters and own cases with support from an established department.

You will handle claims from instruction to settlement or trial, review medical evidence, liaise with experts and clients, and negotiate settlements while delivering high-quality client care.

Qualifications

• Experience handling industrial disease claims from a claimant perspective.
• Strong knowledge of occupational disease and workplace injury litigation.
• Experience managing a caseload with some autonomy.
• Excellent client care and communication skills.

Role: Industrial Disease Fee Earner

Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire

Contract: Full time, permanent, hybrid

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000

An established and highly regarded law firm is looking to appoint an experienced Industrial Disease Fee Earner to join its specialist claimant team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a fee earner with a strong background in industrial disease and/or occupational illness claims to join a supportive and well-established department, handling a varied caseload of complex and often high-value matters.

The successful candidate will have the opportunity to take ownership of their own caseload while working within an experienced team and benefiting from a collaborative working environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for managing a caseload of industrial disease claims from initial instruction through to conclusion, providing a high standard of client care and legal advice throughout.

• Managing a caseload of claimant industrial disease matters.
• Handling claims from initial instruction through to settlement or trial.
• Conducting investigations into liability and causation.
• Obtaining and reviewing medical and other expert evidence.
• Liaising with clients, medical experts, counsel, insurers and other relevant parties.
• Preparing pleadings, witness statements and other legal documentation.
• Negotiating settlements and progressing matters efficiently.
• Advising clients on the merits and likely value of their claims.
• Maintaining accurate case management and ensuring compliance with relevant deadlines and procedures.
• Providing a professional and empathetic service to clients throughout their claim.
