BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF POSITION

To design and propose industrial and commercial project to customer and legislative specific requirements. To create a design from an initial brief and/or drawing to specific customer specifications, whilst adhering to the latest company and industry standards.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Day to day functions as requested and required by your line manager
SERVICE
  • Carry out site surveys where required
  • Generate and update enquiry bank
  • Attend customer scoping and design meetings where required
  • Produce initial outline design/scope
  • Produce Design File (electronic or hard copy) in line with ISO 9001 standard
  • Produce detailed design, consisting of but not limited to: Cold room heat load calculation, cabinet heat load calculations, produce engineering sheets and pipework isometric drawings, equipment selections and pipe work sizing
  • Produce supplier/sub-contractor enquiries for quotations
  • Produce data for Design of Contracts project handover including: Equipment/supplier/sub-contractor procurement schedule, identify PED category of system and inform compliance team if CAT 4, calculate system refrigerant charge, produce high level program of works and high level phasing if required
  • Raise Contract Approval Form to enable project to be booked on system
  • Order any long lead time items to ensure project meets program
  • Mark up drawings and issue to CAD department to produce
  • Attend site at least once during project installation period, to carry out design review
  • Assist PM with project shut downs
  • Maintain excellent service levels at all times, ensuring a “first Class” service to all customers
  • Take on projects as and when required and see them through to successful completion
FINANCIAL
  • Produce estimates in line with customer budgets and to agreed company margins
  • Produce formal scope of works and formal quotations
  • Assist CM with project variation design and costs
  • All contracts over £500k to have contract/design review with senior member of staff
  • To prepare quotations (once the design is complete) to meet both the customer budgetary demands and the company’s target margins.
  • To identify means of generating extra revenue through new initiatives (forward thinking)
PEOPLE
  • One to one session with line manager once a quarter
  • To treat other colleagues, managers, customers and other stakeholders equally and with courtesy and respect at all times
  • Where possible - to assist others with tasks that may be outside of the scope of your role
  • To assist with coaching other colleagues/managers, for cross training purposed in your area of expertise
COMPLIANCE
  • Ensure that all relevant company and legislative policies and best practices are adhered to and maintained at all times
  • Inform the relevant Manager of non-conformances and ensure that corrective action is taken
  • Ensure compliance with all procedures throughout within your remit
  • Produce Design File (electronic or hard copy) in line with ISO 9001 standard
  • To ensure Refrigeration industry codes and standards are upheld
  • To comply with Integrals environmental policies and putting forward new ideas for improving environmental efficiencies.
  • Adhere to Group H&S procedures with due regard for business constraints and efficiency

Full, clean, UK driving license
